I say just go for it. I'm no carpenter and it turned out great.
Describe Your Project:
I have never cared for my pantry. It was too shallow and the folding doors took up most of the available space. So I turned a solid oak china into a builtin. The tin tiles look amazing.

Yes .
It was my fave project ever. I chose the tin tiles because they match my backslash
