Tips: To get everything lined up, I first mounted the tiles on thin plywood sheets, tacked those to the walls to establish the hole positions in the walls and tiles, then carefully took the tiles off one by one and mounted each in its position with the ceramic standoffs underneath instead of the plywood.

Describe Your Project: I used these tiles to make a beautiful copper heat shield for my woodburning sauna build. They are mounted 1" out from the cedar walls on ceramic standoffs.

Would You Recommend This Project To A Friend And Why?: If you are building a sauna or other chimney/stove heat shield and want it beautiful inside and out, these are a fantastic addition instead of the plain metal shields often used. They also work really well, very efficient at absorbing and dissipating heat when mounted on standoffs.
