Did you hire a professional for this project?:
No
Tips:
1. Leave 1/16" of an inch between tiles to allow for minor deviations so that your joint lines stay straight.
2. Layout your tiles so that the perimeter tiles are of similar size so you don't end up with a full tile on one side and a sliver on the other. (It's more cutting, but looks better)
3. If you have recessed lights, cut your ceiling holes before putting up the tiles. Then use a razor blade to cut the circle out.
4. When you cut the tip of the caulk gun, cut so it is a very small hole and work slowly and methodically on your seams. It is very easy to use too much caulk and the tiles can get messy and you can see the imperfections after painting the tiles.
Describe Your Project:
I am remodeling a 108 year old home that had great bones, but was neglected for decades. Every room was covered in wood paneling and not one wall is straight. I have your ceiling tiles in 7 rooms so far.... Still a lot of work to do.
Would You Recommend This Project To A Friend And Why?:
Yes, and I have. I love these tiles. They bring beautiful drama to a room....
How Was Your Experience With Our Company And Why?:
All good. I did not get started on the actual project until well after the tiles were purchased and delivered.
