"I am a 66 yr old woman who enjoys DIY projects. I purchased a 45 year old condo last year and have been researching options to cover my cracked, sad kitchen ceiling. I purchased 3 samples and selected my final choice. The tiles arrived I a few days later and I installed in a day. Once trimmed & painted out you would never know they're styrofoam. Tips: Remove your jewely! And ladies, your nails easily dent the material. Take your time, measure, measure & measure again. I used loctite Power Grab - instant hold, but ability to move tiles as needed. Any dents & dings disappear with acrylic caulk. My ceiling isn't perfect, but it looks 1000 times better. "In the remodeling of a bedroom, we used #819 Perceptions, ceiling tile. The results were outstanding!"
Tips: We used Afix Instant Grab Adhesive purchased from Decorative (decorativeceilingtiles.net). When applying, push the edges of the tiles together and line up the seams; press the tiles firmly against the ceiling. These lightweight tiles nicely covered up a dated popcorn ceiling, and saved the homeowner from the dust and mess of having the popcorn scraped off.

"We remodeled the kitchen in the farm house that has been in my family almost 100 years. The original pressed tin ceiling was in the ribbons and bows design with egg and dart border. The contractor was unable to restore the old ceiling because it had been painted over several times the the ceiling was replaced with plasterboard along with all the plaster walls. We were able to preserve the memory by using your product as the backsplash behind the stove - all shiny and new. It's not only beautiful, but stirs our memory every time we look at it. Much better than traditional backsplash, with the added bonus of being more cost effective. Thank you!"
