Tips: Keep you work area clean and take your time. On tricky cuts measure several times. It moves quickly if you have an extra hand to glue the back of the boards.

"Renovated bedroom in our 70 year old home. Ceiling previously was a popcorn ceiling that was covering two layers of wall paper. The tiles easier went up on top of two layers of wallpaper. It saved a ton of time to not have to remove the wallpaper and we get tons of compliments on the tiles. The tiles are easily painted also. We are so happy with how our DIY turned out. Tips: Use a tiny drill bit to pre-drill the hole where several tiles intersect. It makes hammering in the copper plated nails much easier.

The thing that took us the longest was doing the math..."
Tips: Figure out the center of your ceiling before starting on the project. Figure out the area of the project, and then decide how you want to arrange the tiles. Decide whether you want to use trim boards, as we ultimately did, to avoid having to cut the tiles...

Tips: Use heavy duty loctite if gluing. This is a great way to cover popcorn ceilings that may have asbestos.
