"I wanted a decorative headboard to go with our platform bed base but everything I found was so crazy expensive! So I decided to build one myself. I used thin plywood as the back of my frame, laid out the tiles, and framed them in using pine cove strip trim boards, and 1 inch trim boards. I had a pile of wooden spindles i found at a garage sale, and used two on the ends to add a little more architectural flare to the piece. Then primed everything using a smooth surface primer, and painted, and antiqued everything with chalk paint and wax. I did use a pearlescent glaze over the paint to give the off white color a nice glow too! Hung it with some simple mounting brackets. I've got friends already asking me to build more to sell! yes! So many different ways to incorporate these tiles and they come in so many different sizes, styles, even finishes! For the price, you just can't go wrong! Great! Easy to find exactly what your looking for, and shipping was fast!"
Tips: Gloves are needed to handle the tin edges can be quite sharp.
