"We did a complete kitchen remodel. The existing ceiling was textured, but the texture was damaged during the remodel. We installed these tiles to add architectural detail. We used wood strips that we simply spray painted first a dark gray and then a light coat of white allowing the gray to show through. This project was very simple to complete, and I think most DIYers could easily tackle it! I had a few damaged tiles in my orders, and after reaching out, the company provided a credit to my account since we are planning to make additional purchases. I also called and changed the tile type from what I originally ordered. All my dealings with the company have been very positive, and I will definitely continue ordering from Decorative Ceiling Tiles for all my ceiling tile needs!"
Tips: We used construction adhesive but also used a staple gun to hold the tiles in place while the adhesive dried. It was very simple and worked great. The staples were hidden when we installed the wood strips at the seams.

"Purchased a 1910 victorian and wanted to add some flair to the ceiling of the parlor so added these faux tin glue up tiles. Good customer service. I emailed the company a few times and always got a response but I will say that when the tiles arrived (in two boxes), one box did not have plastic wrap around the tiles and 8 of the tiles were bent on the edge. Luckily I was able to use those as border tiles and cut off the side that without the bent edge."
Tips: Even with the overage of tiles added, we ended up with NO extra tiles, so I would recommend being smart and accurately measuring the size of the border tiles needed before cutting them.

Tips: These lightweight tiles offer a lot of creative options for lighting and ventilation. We were able to simply cut out holes for spotlights and slice tiles to install strip lighting. We painted the gridwork and ventilation screens to match the tiles.
