"We wanted to cover a previous owner's application of a popcorn ceiling (and add a pop to the 5th wall) in our parlor of our 1904 Queen Anne Victorian home. We got the basic white and I painted the tiles with a custom aqua paint and accented the raised parts with a gold metallic paint. I wanted a worn look and not new so I didn't try and cover all of the raised parts, just enough to accent the tiles. It made a huge difference!"Tips: I found that the easiest way to do the edges (because I hate to have to measure) is to take thick paper and make a pattern using a whole tile by drawing around it. I put some tape in rolls across one edge to hold the paper on the ceiling when I put it butting up to the tile next to the edge. Press the hanging part of the paper tile into the ceiling edge, I use a screwdriver to enhance the mark. Remove the tape (important), cut the pattern, transfer it to a whole tile, mark it with a pencil, cut it with a sharp blade and you have a perfect fit. So easy!- Marilyn Pollock

"This was done last summer. I gutted and remodeled the LQ/Weekender part of my 4-horse trailer I bought that I knew needed to be redone when I got it. The ceiling panels had black mold from a long-term leak in the roof. I didn't want to use any kind of wood-based panels and I didn't like the look of the PVC options either. Plus I wanted something more lightweight and easier to install than those options. Real tin or even faux-tin PVC tiles were a tad more expensive than I wanted to spend. Found these foam ones and installed them. Super easy! I used flat white acrylic ceiling paint as a primer after installing. I then used a dry brush technique with metallic silver paint along with greys, whites, and blacks to get the look I wanted. I may put a clear coat sealer on them at some point this summer."Tips: I used white trim-sealing caulk to keep the look between tiles consistent. I also found that using the Delicate Surface Frog Tape to hold tiles in place while the adhesive cured worked better than regular painter's tape.- Leah Johnson

"After tree fell on 1910 house , sections of plaster started cracking. Didn’t want mess of taking down whole ceiling and moving furniture - so after years of indecision decided to try glue up styrofoam tiles."Tips: We removed crumbling plaster and filled in with dollar store poster board to form uniform base to glue tiles.- George Farkas

"We did a complete reno on our kitchen - all DIY! It was an adventure for sure. One of our favorite touches is our amazing ceiling, thanks to Decorative Ceiling Tiles. The ceiling adds so much to the project."Tips: The tiles are super easy to put up. It’s helpful to have 2 people to have a second set of eyes to assure alignment.- Jeffrey Flock
