“Wanted to spruce up the bathroom ceiling of a *very* small (44 square ft) bathroom in my Victorian house, and decided on glue-up decorative ceiling tiles and foam moulding, so I could install it myself. Project (including painting, Benjamin Moore’s “Gentleman’s Gray”) took a weekend. Love the results!
“
Tips: I recommend having a vacuum cleaner handy when cutting the crown moulding. Because it’s styrofoam, cutting it makes a MESS. I cut it with a 10″ compound mitre saw, and the little bits of foam went everywhere. Vacuuming after every other cut helped it stay contained. Also, the styrofoam is very susceptible to dents and dings, so I’d recommend cutting it as close to the installation site as possible. Seriously, a dirty look could dent these things. The ceiling tiles were INCREDIBLY easy to work with. Cuts well with a pair of scissors and a breeze to install. Just measure twice and take your time.
