"This was done last summer. I gutted and remodeled the LQ/Weekender part of my 4-horse trailer I bought that I knew needed to be redone when I got it. The ceiling panels had black mold from a long-term leak in the roof. I didn't want to use any kind of wood-based panels and I didn't like the look of the PVC options either. Plus I wanted something more lightweight and easier to install than those options. Real tin or even faux-tin PVC tiles were a tad more expensive than I wanted to spend. Found these foam ones and installed them. Super easy! I used flat white acrylic ceiling paint as a primer after installing. I then used a dry brush technique with metallic silver paint along with greys, whites, and blacks to get the look I wanted. I may put a clear coat sealer on them at some point this summer."
Tips: I used white trim-sealing caulk to keep the look between tiles consistent. I also found that using the Delicate Surface Frog Tape to hold tiles in place while the adhesive cured worked better than regular painter's tape.
