Bijou and Bee Bee Glue-up Styrofoam Ceiling Tile 20 in x 20 in – #R126

"We have a 70's Cali bungalow style home located in Titusville, FL. (just outside of Cape Canaveral...aka, SpaceX land). Our laundry room was outdated with run down original materials, including an unsightly popcorn ceiling. Rather than remove the popcorn, we wanted something that could just go over it. After searching high and low for the right product, we found decorativeceilingtiles.net, and were immediately sold! We chose to purchase their styrofoam ceiling tiles because that was their recommendation for popcorn ceilings. We purchased unpainted finish, and applied a 2 step process of our own to achieve a modern rustic look. With the combination of a metallic silver undercoat, and a matte white glaze topcoat (applied with large random brush strokes), we achieved the exact rustic modern look we were hoping for. Being our popcorn ceilings were heavily textured, we were having some difficultly with getting some of the tiles to stick, even with the proper adhesive. So we decided to use gold 1" cabinet style washer head screws for both additional hold, as well as give it an even more authentic rustic look which I am so glad we did because the entire project came out beautiful!"
